ACTIVITIES & PROJECTS
Mineola Kiwanis is at work year around to support a wide range of charitable programs throughout the city and Wood County.
Chili Cook Off
Mineola Kiwanis holds an annual Chili Cook Off with teams made up of a variety of local groups including, first responders, church groups, businesses, etc. Funds raised go to benefit a variety of local charities in Mineola and Wood County.
Annual KiRo
Golf Tournament
Mineola Kiwanis joins forces once each year with Mineola Rotary to host the popular and successful KiRo Golf Tournament held at Mineola Country Club. As with everything Kiwanis does, the proceeds of the golf tournament benefit children and families.
Flag Sales
Mineola Kiwanis displays U.S. flags during seven holidays each year. Residents and businesses in Mineola and the surrounding areas pay a small fee to enjoy having a flag displayed at their home or business. The funds raised enable Mineola Kiwanis to do much more for our community.
Annual Cheese Sales
Mineola Kiwanis sells cheese in the fall and winter months of the year to raise money to provide a Christmas party, Christmas gifts and an Easter party for Wood County Special Education SSA. WCSESSA is a specialized charity that provides for the educational and counseling needs of children with a variety of special needs.
Service Clubs Car Show
Mineola Kiwanis joins Mineola Rotary and Pilot Clubs in hosting an annual event called the Service Clubs Car Show. The event has grown to be very successful and has helped all three participating clubs raise money to fund projects and increase visibility in our area. Look for future Service Clubs Car Show as Mineola’s service clubs join together to better serve our community and beyond!
