IT TRULY IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS

Kiwanis’ motto is “Serving the Children of the World.”

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

~ OBJECTS OF KIWANIS ~

  • TO GIVE PRIMACY to human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.

  • TO ENCOURAGE the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

  • TO PROMOTE the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.

  • TO DEVELOP by precept and example a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.

  • TO PROVIDE, through Kiwanis Clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to tender altruistic service, and to build better communities.

  • TO COOPERATE in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

~ THE KIWANIS PLEDGE ~

As members of Kiwanis, we pledge to uphold the Objects of Kiwanis International, to provide service to our community, to extend the opportunity of membership to all persons of goodwill, and to dedicate ourselves to serving the children of the world.

~ THE ELIMINATE PROJECT ~

Kiwanis International and UNICEF teamed up in 2010 to help end maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) worldwide as partners in The Eliminate Project, an historic decade-long initiative that helped accelerate global efforts to vaccinate women of reproductive age in countries where MNT remained a threat, to protect mothers and babies from this cruel, centuries-old disease. The Mineola Kiwanis Club pledged and achieved a $52,500 contribution to The Eliminate Project!

~ THE POSSIBILITY PROJECT ~

New for 2024 is The Possibility Project! Through the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, $2.25 in U.S. dollars addresses the needs of one child. Imagine the possibilities if we raised $25 million U.S. dollars — enough for Kiwanis clubs and members to serve 10 million children around the world. That’s the goal of The Possibility Project. Join the first fundraising campaign that solely supports Kiwanis and the children we serve!
